The top scorer for the Dallas Stars, **Jason Robertson**, sustained a knee injury during the final regular-season game against the Nashville Predators (1-5). The forward was unable to finish the match and exited the arena with a brace on his knee. Head coach of the Stars, **Peter DeBoer**, addressed the unfortunate injury to the forward just before the playoffs began.
“We were hoping to avoid injuries and had given many players a break. Unfortunately, we couldn’t prevent Robertson’s injury,” DeBoer said, according to the team’s press service.
The severity of the injury will be assessed later. This season, Robertson emerged as Dallas’s leading scorer and the team’s second-highest point-getter, racking up 80 points (35 goals and 45 assists) over 82 games. It’s worth noting that the Stars have lost their last seven matches of the regular season. In the first round of the playoffs, Dallas will face off against the Colorado Avalanche.
