Ilya Zabarnyis Potential Move to PSG: Key Details and Transfer Demands Revealed

French club Paris Saint-Germain is keen to finalize the transfer of 22-year-old center-back Illya Zabarnyi from Bournemouth before the start of the 2025 Club World Cup. This information was shared by journalist Marc Mechenou of the Paris club on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter).

According to the source, Bournemouth is demanding a fee exceeding €50 million for the Ukrainian national player. It is reported that if Zabarnyi signs with PSG, he likely won’t be a regular starter. Instead, he is expected to serve as a rotational player and backup for Parisian captain Marquinhos, who is 31 years old.

Previously, media outlets indicated that Zabarnyi had given his consent for a transfer to PSG.

Zabarnyi’s current contract with Bournemouth extends until the summer of 2029. His estimated market value, according to Transfermarkt, is €40 million.
