Heartfelt Tributes Emerge for Loving Father Fatally Stabbed in South-East London

Relatives have described a man fatally stabbed in south-east London as a “dedicated father,” a “beacon of kindness,” and “the essence of his family.”

Sanchini Thompson was discovered with multiple stab wounds on Rushey Green in Catford at approximately 03:00 BST on Wednesday and was transported to the hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.

A post-mortem examination revealed that Mr. Thompson’s death resulted from a stab wound to the chest, according to the Metropolitan Police. No arrests have been made in connection with the case.

In a heartfelt statement, his family highlighted that the father of a four-year-old daughter “freely shared his time and laughter, bringing joy to others while always prioritizing the happiness and welfare of those around him.”

“In cherished remembrance of a son, father, and treasured friend, our hearts are heavy as we reflect on a man whose presence illuminated every space he entered,” his family expressed.

They further added, “His generosity was limitless, and his empathy reached friends, neighbors, and even strangers.”

“Words fall short in expressing our profound gratitude for him and the mark his kindness left on our lives.”

“He will be profoundly missed, yet his spirit will continue to be felt through the love he gave and the memories we will cherish.”

Detective Chief Inspector Rebecca Woodsford remarked, “Our thoughts are with Sanchini’s family during this incredibly painful time.”

She also expressed appreciation to local residents for their patience as investigators conducted their initial inquiries.
