A significant malfunction in a signaling system has resulted in the suspension of all rail services in the Stafford and Stoke-on-Trent region.

National Rail has alerted passengers to anticipate disruptions throughout the day, with some routes potentially facing cancellations, delays of up to 90 minutes, or alterations to their schedules.

Routes connecting Stafford with Crewe, Stoke-on-Trent, Manchester Piccadilly, and Derby are among those impacted.

Services provided by Avanti West Coast, CrossCountry, East Midlands Railway, London Northwestern Railway, and Northern are affected. Avanti West Coast is advising travelers not to use any services between London and destinations such as Manchester, Liverpool, Holyhead, and Preston.
