Seven additional individuals have been brought before the court in connection with an acid attack that resulted in serious injuries to a man.

The incident took place on February 21, when the victim was at home with his daughter on Lipson Road, as revealed in proceedings at Plymouth Magistrates Court.

Prosecutor Ria Park informed the court that two men unlawfully entered the residence and threw acid on the victim, “inflicting severe injuries.”

The group of defendants includes six men hailing from London and a woman from Plymouth, all facing charges of conspiracy to commit murder and conspiracy to kidnap.

Among those charged are 22-year-olds Ramarnee Bakas from Bethune Road, Abdulrasheed Adedoja from North Circular, and Brian Kalemba from Estbury Square, along with 24-year-old Arrone Mukuna and 23-year-old Jean Mukuna, both from Werrington Street in London. Additionally, 38-year-old Jenna O’Grady from Ernesettle Green, Plymouth, and 22-year-old Isanah Sungum from Stirling Way, Edmonton, London, are included in the charges.

Furthermore, Mr. Bakas, Arrone Mukuna, Jean Mukuna, and Mr. Adedoja face additional charges for laundering the proceeds of criminal activity.

The defendants only responded to confirm their identities, addresses, and birth dates, and they have all been remanded in custody to reappear at Plymouth Crown Court on May 12.

Previously, 25-year-old Israel Augustus from Pulford Road in North London appeared at Plymouth Magistrates’ Court, facing accusations of applying a corrosive substance with intent to burn, mutilate, disfigure, or inflict grievous bodily harm.

Mr. Augustus is also charged with aggravated burglary, possession of an offensive weapon, and drug-related offenses, and is scheduled to appear at Plymouth Crown Court on June 16.
