Arijit Singh is poised to make history by becoming the first artist of Indian origin to headline a stadium in the UK, scheduled to perform in London for his exclusive European concert in 2025.
Recognized by the BBC Asian Network as “one of India’s most cherished and esteemed playback singers,” the 38-year-old attracts nearly 50 million listeners each month on Spotify.
This talented singer, known for his contributions to Bollywood soundtracks, will take the stage at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Friday.
Here’s what you need to know.
The concert doors will open at 17:00 BST on Friday, with the performance set to kick off at 18:30, as stated on the Tottenham Stadium website.
The event will conclude by 22:30.
Scheduled Tube strikes will not commence until Sunday, ensuring that attendees’ travels won’t be impacted.
The closest station is White Hart Lane (zone 3) on the London Overground’s Weaver line, which is just a five-minute stroll away. Other nearby stations include Northumberland Park (10 minutes on foot), Tottenham Hale (25 minutes), and Seven Sisters (30 minutes).
Public buses servicing the area include routes 149, 259, 279, and 349, although these will be rerouted to Lansdowne Road, east of the stadium.
Transport for London (TfL) has advised that concertgoers should expect “large crowds and heightened traffic levels,” alongside local road closures near the venue.
As of Thursday afternoon, standard tickets have sold out, but some premium seating options start at £399, in addition to available hospitality packages.
Weather conditions are promising, with forecasts predicting sunny intervals and light breezes, with temperatures around 20°C at door opening time, cooling to 16°C by concert’s end.
