Earlier this year, Tverdokhlebov claimed victory with the Portugal U17 team in the UEFA European Championship, despite not playing a single match in the tournament. Alesh is affiliated with the youth squad of Lisbon’s Sporting CP. Two other players of Russian heritage, Cristiano Palamarchuk and Konstantin Nikitenko, are also part of the Portuguese team.
