The publication People has shared the first images from the film “The Maid.” The thriller is set to have its worldwide premiere on December 19.

The movie is based on the novel of the same name by Freida McFadden. The story follows the main character, Millie, who is trying to escape her past by taking a job as a house cleaner for wealthy couple Nina and Andrew Winchester. At first, she is satisfied with her new duties, but she soon uncovers a terrifying secret about the Winchesters.

The leading roles are played by Sydney Sweeney (“Euphoria”), Amanda Seyfried (“Les Misérables”), and Brandon Sklenar (“Westworld”). The film is directed by Paul Feig, known for movies like “A Simple Favor” and “Spy.”
