Two individuals have been apprehended following the death of a man described as a “cherished family member” in Newham, east London, according to police reports.

Authorities received a call concerning an altercation around 15:50 GMT on Tuesday in Palmerston Road, Forest Gate.

When officers and ambulance services arrived, they discovered 56-year-old Franklin Francis unresponsive. He was transported to a hospital, where he unfortunately passed away on Thursday, as stated by the Metropolitan Police.

Two suspects, aged 56 and 24, have been detained on charges of grievous bodily harm and have since been released on conditional bail.

Mr. Francis’s family, hailing from Newham, expressed their sorrow, stating: “Franklin was a beloved family member whose kindness and warmth impacted everyone who had the privilege to know him.

“His loss creates an irreplaceable void in our lives. We will miss him profoundly every day.”

The family is currently being assisted by specialized officers.
