Expert Michael Wilbon cautioned against quickly labeling the Oklahoma City Thunder as a dynasty following their championship win in the 2024/2025 NBA season.

“Are you serious? Don’t you have the example of the Boston Celtics in front of you? Last year, everyone said they would become a dynasty too. Jayson Tatum, Jaylen Brown, Derrick White—they had so many great players. For various reasons, the team was eliminated in the second round of the playoffs. It’s time for us to understand this,” Wilbon said during an ESPN broadcast.

To recap, Oklahoma faced the Indiana Pacers in the NBA Finals, winning the series in seven games. The decisive seventh game ended with a score of 103-91.
