Authorities are looking into a potential gas explosion that occurred at a residence in east London.
Shortly before 05:00 BST, six fire engines and roughly 40 firefighters were dispatched to the scene on Dumont Road in Stoke Newington.
Darren McTernan, a commander with the London Fire Brigade (LFB), stated, “We advise both drivers and pedestrians to steer clear of the area for the majority of this morning as investigations into the cause of this incident are conducted.”
According to the LFB, the situation was brought under control by approximately 05:40; however, a cordon remains established.
Stoke Newington Church Street is closed from its intersection with the A10 to Defoe Road, and Kersley Road is entirely shut. The Metropolitan Police has been reached for further comments.
