CSKA Moscow Announces Two-Year Contract for New Head Coach Fabio Celestini

The Moscow CSKA announced in their Telegram channel the appointment of **Fabio Celestini** as the new head coach of the team. The Swiss coach has signed a two-year contract with the option to extend for an additional season.

It was emphasized that the red-blues will commence their preparations for the new season under Celestini’s guidance on June 22 at their training base in Novogorsk.

“Welcome home, Fabio!” was noted in the CSKA Telegram channel.

Prior to this role, the 49-year-old Celestini managed the Swiss club FC Basel from 2023 to 2025. During his time there, he led the team to win the Swiss Championship (2024/2025) and the Swiss Cup (2024/2025). He has also worked with other clubs, including Sion, Lucerne, and Lugano.
