Crawford Critiques Stevenson’s Victory: It Didnt Look Good

The world champion in four weight classes, American **Terence Crawford**, shared his thoughts on fellow countryman **Shakur Stevenson**’s victory against Mexican fighter **William Cepeda**.

“The one thing I didn’t like… Shakur spent too much time along the ropes. He took some shots that he shouldn’t have let land. This creates an impression on the judges, especially when someone is standing against the ropes… It just didn’t look good.

Shakur shouldn’t have taken that kind of damage, but you have to give credit to Cepeda. He didn’t allow him to do what he wanted and effectively prevented him from boxing. As a result, Shakur sometimes had to dig in and fight,” Crawford remarked in an interview with the YouTube channel Seconds Out.
