Confidence in Akinfeev: CSKAs Director Assures Quick Recovery of the Resilient Goalkeeper

The CEO of CSKA, **[Roman Babaev](https://www.cska.ru)**, shared his thoughts regarding the injury of the team captain and goalkeeper, **Igor Akinfeev**. Akinfeev sustained an ankle injury during the 11th round match in the Mir RPL against Spartak, which ended with a score of 3:2.

“We were all quite worried when Akinfeev got injured. Fortunately, it doesn’t seem to be anything serious. Igor is a seasoned and resilient athlete. I am confident he will recover quickly. Regarding Vladislav Torop’s performance, it’s certainly challenging to enter such an important match, and it’s clear he was a bit nervous at first. However, overall, I believe he did well. He may have been anxious in the opening minutes, but he settled down and played effectively, helping us secure the victory,” Babaev said, as reported by TASS.

Following this match, CSKA leads the RPL standings with 24 points, while Spartak holds sixth place with 18 points.
