The head coach of Minsk’s “Yunost,” Sergey Stas, commented on the match against Moscow’s “Dynamo,” which ended in a 3:2 victory for the white and blue team.
– The guys put in a lot of effort and fought hard – there’s no doubt about that. In the first period, we seemed a bit nervous, possibly because we were facing a team wearing the “Dynamo” Moscow jerseys. We played well in the second period, but made some silly mistakes that were immediately punished. At this level, those mistakes are capitalized on very effectively.
– Given that we played against a KHL club, did that add some variety to your experience?
– It’s always a pleasure to compete against such a team. It helps us see the direction we’re heading in. Competing with a KHL team highlights all the nuances throughout the game, across all positions and zones. We were able to draw some conclusions from this for ourselves, – Stas noted, as reported by Hockey.by.
Goals for “Dynamo” were scored by Artyom Ilyenko, Artyom Bondar, and Egor Rimashyevsky, who netted the winning goal in the 45th minute. For Minsk, goals came from Andrey Gosteve and Vladimir Rovba.
