Chesnokov Critiques Medvedevs Underwhelming Performances in American Tournaments

The 1995 Davis Cup finalist, **Andrei Chesnokov**, shared his thoughts on the performance of former world number one **Daniil Medvedev** in the recent series of American tournaments. He observed that Medvedev has encountered a significant downturn.

“Typically, Medvedev performs well in American tournaments, but what he has demonstrated this year is a setback. It’s hard to pinpoint the cause, as he hasn’t had notable results all year. It’s tough to recognize Medvedev now; he used to play with great determination and skill and had a strong serve, but now he seems far from that. We’ll see how he fares at the US Open,” Chesnokov’s comments were reported by TASS.

In a recent Masters event in Cincinnati, **Daniil Medvedev** was unable to advance to the third round, suffering a defeat to Australia’s Adam Walton, who is ranked 82nd in the world.
