A power outage has led to significant disruptions on the London Underground and the Elizabeth line.
Service on the Bakerloo and Waterloo & City lines has been halted, there are no trains operating between London Bridge and Finchley Road on the Jubilee line, and the Northern line is not running between Euston and Kennington, nor south of Stockwell.
This issue is believed to stem from a power failure in southwest London that occurred around 14:30 BST. Although power has been restored, delays and service interruptions continue.
Additionally, the Elizabeth line is not operational between Abbey Wood and Paddington, and all affected lines are experiencing substantial delays.
Waterloo station is particularly hard hit, as it typically provides access to Jubilee, Northern, and Bakerloo line trains.
In a separate incident, the entire Suffragette line on London Overground is out of service due to a fire alert.
The Transport for London (TfL) website seems to be experiencing intermittent problems, with some travel information pages failing to load.
Among those impacted were Justine, 53, and Benny, 20, who came to London from Leamington Spa in Warwickshire to renew Benny’s passport.
They found themselves stranded outside the closed Embankment station while attempting what should have been a straightforward trip to Marylebone station to head back home.
“It’s going to be really frustrating; I have no idea how we’ll get home,” Justine expressed.
“We couldn’t even get his passport renewed. It’s just one of those days.”
