40-year-old Russian racer and two-time Dakar champion Dmitry Sotnikov, representing the KAMAZ-Master team, reflected on the sixth stage of the Silk Way Rally 2025, where he achieved the fastest time.
“The stage went well. At first, we lost some time in the dust behind Yuri Nayman, but they did a great job of letting us pass safely. In the second part of the special section, the gaps between the trucks increased, which meant there was less dust. The winding gravel road was occasionally tricky and dangerous, but I enjoyed driving it. Overall, it was a fantastic stage; I could have handled another 100 kilometers on such roads!” said Sotnikov, as quoted by the rally’s press service.
