CAS Orders Matias Normann to Pay Over €3 Million to Rostov Following Contract Termination Dispute

The Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) has ordered footballer Matias Normann and the Saudi club Al-Raed, which holds the player’s rights, to pay over €3 million plus interest to Rostov in a contract termination case. This information was reported by the organization’s press service on their official website.

It is worth noting that in early April, it became known that CAS found Normann guilty of unilaterally terminating his contract with Rostov. In the summer of 2023, while on loan at Dynamo, Matias unilaterally ended his agreement with the Rostov club and moved to Saudi Arabia.

This season, the 28-year-old defensive midfielder has played 25 matches across all competitions, scoring one goal and providing one assist. The online portal Transfermarkt estimates Normann’s market value at €2.8 million.
