Avangard Welcomes Giovanni Fiore for a New Season

The club “Avangard” has signed a new one-season agreement with forward Giovanni Fiore, as reported by the club’s press service. This was previously mentioned by “Championship.”

During the last season, the 29-year-old Fiore joined “Avangard” from “Admiral” and played 30 regular-season games for the Omsk team, accumulating 18 points (11 goals and 7 assists). In the playoffs, the Canadian recorded one assist in 13 games. Throughout his KHL career, Fiore has played 138 games, scoring 28 goals and providing 34 assists.

Giovanni was not selected in the NHL draft. In 2017, he signed a three-year entry-level contract with the Anaheim Ducks and also played for their AHL affiliate. He was later traded to the Arizona Coyotes in exchange for Trevor Murphy and played for their farm team. At the end of 2020, he signed with the German club Eisbaren Berlin for the remainder of the 2020/2021 season, where he tallied 36 points (21 goals and 15 assists).
