Ardashev Maintains Speed to Secure Third Place in Kirovsk 15 km Race

Russian skier **Sergey Ardashov**, who finished in third place in the 15 km freestyle race at the first stage of the Russian Cup in Kirovsk, Murmansk region, shared his thoughts on the result. He trailed the winner by 21.4 seconds.

“In the past, when I competed in the 15-kilometer race, I would feel like it was over for me after about 12 or 13 km. I used to blame my skis and other factors, but the truth was that I simply lacked the strength for a strong finish. Today, I managed to maintain my speed throughout. Of course, it was challenging without Savely’s support, like during the All-Russian competitions,” Ardashov told Match TV.

The first stage of the Russian Cup in cross-country skiing will conclude on November 30.
