The 71st-ranked Russian tennis player, Anna Blinkova, has advanced to the final of the qualifying round at the WTA-1000 tournament in Wuhan, China, after defeating American player Caroline Dolehide (ranked 88th) with a score of 4-6, 6-4, 6-1.
The match lasted for 2 hours and 8 minutes. During the game, Blinkova fired three aces and made four double faults, successfully converting 7 out of 13 break points. Dolehide hit three aces, committed two double faults, and converted 4 out of 12 break points throughout the match.
Blinkova will compete against Kazakhstan’s Yulia Putintseva for a spot in the main draw of the tournament in Wuhan.
