A man has been brought before the court on charges of murdering a woman in north London, following allegations of a previous rape and violent assault on another individual months earlier.
Forty-year-old Simon Levy, from Tottenham, faces accusations of killing Sheryl Wilkins, a 39-year-old sex worker whose remains were discovered in a car park last month.
The Old Bailey was informed that the exact cause of Ms. Wilkins’s death has not yet been determined. Mr. Levy has been remanded in custody and is scheduled for a subsequent hearing at the same court on 26 November, with a trial tentatively planned for next June.
The other woman, who is an automatic anonymous victim of sexual violence, was assaulted in Haringey in January.
Mr. Levy faces charges that include causing grievous bodily harm to the sex worker with intent, non-fatal strangulation, and two counts of rape.
