The publication Variety interviewed Paul Mescal, a star of the upcoming film “Gladiator 2.” He shared his impressions of the recent movie “Battle for Battle,” featuring Leonardo DiCaprio in the lead role.

According to Mescal, the film brought him to tears. He described it as an outstanding piece of work and expressed that he truly empathized with DiCaprio’s character.

“Battle for Battle” is the latest project from director Paul Thomas Anderson, known for films like “The Master” and “There Will Be Blood.” The story follows a former revolutionary, Bob Ferguson, whose daughter is kidnapped by an old adversary, Colonel Steve Lockjaw. In a bid to rescue her, Bob seeks assistance from his former comrades. The film also stars Sean Penn (“Mystic River”), Benicio Del Toro (“The Takedown”), and Regina Hall (“Law Abiding Citizen”).
