“Too Many Mistakes Made”: Fraser Reflects on Zenits Loss to Yenisei

Zenit defender Trent Fraser shared his thoughts following the team’s away loss to Yenisey (83:78) in the regular season of the VTB United League.

“Today, we made too many mistakes. In the second half, we came out with good energy and competitiveness, and we managed to control the game and execute our defensive plans. As you noticed, we had a short rotation, only nine or ten players. This should actually motivate us to play with greater focus and intensity, giving our all since we were trailing. Everyone needs to step up.

This is our responsibility, and I start with myself when I say this. We need to take on more accountability, both with and without the ball. We need to execute on this if we want to see results. Right now, we need to regain our focus and return to the fundamentals of the game. Being sharper on defense and more resolute in our defensive efforts is crucial,” Fraser is quoted as saying by Zenit’s official website.
