Zverev on His Daughter: I Dont Show Her, Its Important She Lives a Good Childhood

The Olympic champion in singles from 2020 and the world’s third-ranked tennis player, German athlete Alexander Zverev, has shared his thoughts on whether he wants his daughter to pursue a career in tennis. In 2021, Zverev and his former girlfriend Brenda Patea became parents to a girl named Myla.

“In Shanghai, you mentioned that spending time with your family and daughter brings you to a state of Zen. Can you tell us a bit about her? How is she doing? Do you want her to become a tennis player?”
“I prefer not to share much,” Zverev responded. “I keep her private, away from social media. It’s really important for me that she enjoys a healthy childhood and decides for herself what she wants later on,” he stated during an interview on the YouTube channel BB Tennis.

Zverev and Patea started dating in the fall of 2019, but in October of the following year, Brenda announced their breakup and her pregnancy. It’s worth noting that Patea accused the tennis player of causing her physical harm.
