“Passion is a powerful enthusiasm, desire, or dedication to something. When I started playing tennis at the age of eight, it was simply a game. Eventually, it transformed into my passion. I dreamed of becoming a professional tennis player. I know people often discuss when an athlete should retire. Many believe that as you age, when you’re no longer competing at the same level, don’t hold the same ranking or achieve the same results, it’s time to stop.
No matter how much I fight or how much I love to win, it has always been about more than just that. Passion is not solely defined by results. It’s about pushing beyond my own limits. I’m okay with the fact that I may never win another Grand Slam title. I’m fine with not being in the top 10 anymore. But I cherish the journey – constantly testing my capabilities.
I understand that my career will eventually come to an end, but until that day comes, I will always fight with all my might.
