More Important for Spartak to Give Backup Players a Chance than to Win at Any Cost, Says Eduard Mor

Former Spartak player **Eduard Mor** shared his thoughts on the upcoming match between the red-and-whites and Makhachkala’s Dynamo. This game is set to take place today, October 21, at the Anzhi Arena in Kaspiysk, with Inal Tanashiev from Nalchik officiating.

“I hope Spartak can finish at the top of their group in the Russian Cup. I believe that’s important for the players as well. However, it’s essential to recognize that both teams are already guaranteed to advance from the group.

I expect to see players who haven’t had much playing time in this match. I’m not anticipating a high-scoring game, as the teams won’t have much chemistry. It’s more important to give the substitutes an opportunity to play than to win at all costs. Spartak remains the favorite, as their bench strength is much greater than that of Makhachkala. The difference is quite significant,” Mor told Championship correspondent Yegor Kabak.

With one round remaining in the group stage of the RPL Path, Makhachkala’s Dynamo sits at the top of Group C with 13 points from five matches. Moscow’s Spartak follows closely in second place with 10 points, while the other teams in the group, Rostov and Pari NN, have 4 and 3 points, respectively.
