Gameplay Group has announced a fighting game based on the animated series “Avatar: The Last Airbender.” The title is called Avatar Legends: The Fighting Game.

A video showcasing the game is available on IGN’s YouTube channel, with all rights belonging to Gameplay Group.

The developers emphasize fast-paced gameplay that aims to capture the essence of what fans love about the fighting genre. The game is being developed with a style that mirrors the original series, featuring hand-drawn 2D animation. At launch, players will have access to 12 playable characters, including Aang himself, with additional characters being added over time.

The game is scheduled for release in the summer of 2026 on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series, Switch 2, and PC.
