Wave of Antisemitic Vandalism Strikes Golders Green: Synagogues and Nursery Targeted in Disturbing Trend

Police have reported that several synagogues and a children’s nursery in Golders Green, located in north London, have recently been the focus of alleged antisemitic vandalism.

Community security members from Shomrim and The Jewish News have stated that these sites were defaced with feces.

It is believed that this latest incident marks the seventh attack of its kind within a two-week span.

The Metropolitan Police have indicated that “the same individual is likely linked to all seven incidents,” and investigators are actively searching for this person.

Authorities noted that they are investigating “religiously-motivated criminal damage” occurring at five different synagogues, which includes the entrance to a nursery associated with one of the synagogues, as well as a local path frequented by worshippers and a school.

The specific locations of these incidents have not been publicly disclosed.

A spokesperson for Shomrim stated: “These ongoing assaults have caused anxiety, pain, and deep concern within our community.”

The organization is collaborating with law enforcement to investigate the matter and to provide reassurance to the local residents.

They have also submitted CCTV footage to assist the Metropolitan Police in their inquiries.

Detective Superintendent Katie Harber commented: “These vile and unacceptable actions are appalling, and we are calling on the public to assist us in identifying the offender.”

She added, “We fully understand how upsetting these crimes have been for the victims. We will not condone such conduct.”
