Protester Break-In Leads to Charges Against Five in Controversial Defence Firm Raid

Five individuals are scheduled to face magistrates following a break-in at a weapons manufacturer during a protest organized by Palestine Action.

The group is alleged to have unlawfully entered Elbit Systems UK, located near Bristol, on August 6, 2024. They face charges of aggravated burglary, criminal damage, and violent disorder.

On Tuesday, Counter Terrorism Policing South East conducted a series of raids that led to the arrests.

Palestine Action claims that Elbit Systems UK is engaged in the production and supply of arms to the Israeli military, a statement that the company vehemently refutes.

The individuals set to appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court include Finn Collins, 20, and Harland Archer, both from Whitstable; Salaam Mahmood, 19, from London; Moiz Ibrahim, 27, also from London; and Louie Adams, 33, from London. They will be appearing from custody.

Additionally, a 66-year-old man from Bristol was apprehended but has since been released without charges.

Following the incident last year, ten individuals were arrested, with another eight taken into custody in November. All 18 have been charged and are awaiting trial.

Earlier this month, Palestine Action was designated a terrorist organization by the UK government.

Supporting the group is now regarded as a criminal offense, with membership or providing support potentially leading to a prison sentence of up to 14 years.
