Early Morning Heist: Nine Men Detained Following Commercial Burglary in Gloucester

Nine individuals have been apprehended following a burglary at a commercial establishment.

Gloucestershire Police received a call shortly after 5:00 AM BST reporting that a group of men donned in high-visibility clothing and balaclavas were seen taking items and loading them into a van on Russell Street in Gloucester.

Upon officers’ arrival, several suspects fled on foot while the van sped away from the location.

The vehicle was later located, and officers successfully managed to halt it near Hartpury, leading to the arrest of three men, all from London, on suspicion of burglary. They are currently in police custody.

Additionally, two other men, also from London, who had fled the scene were subsequently located and taken into custody.

One of these men was arrested while the other required medical attention due to a leg injury sustained while attempting to escape from the police.

Furthermore, four additional men have been detained in London by the Metropolitan Police in relation to the burglary.

Authorities are requesting anyone with further information or relevant CCTV or dashcam recordings to reach out to the police.
