Igor Larionov Shares His Greatest Pride: The Journey of Andrei Loktionov

The former head coach of Nizhny Novgorod’s Torpedo, **Igor Larionov**, shared his thoughts on his best pupil.

“When it comes to the student I’m most proud of, it’s Andrei Loktionov,” Larionov stated in a video on the YouTube channel “Comment.Show.”

Loktionov was a world champion in 2014. He began his career at the Voskresensk Hockey School of Khimik and later honed his skills within the Spartak system before signing with Yaroslavl’s Lokomotiv. In 2008, he was drafted by the Los Angeles Kings as the overall 123rd pick. Currently, he plays as a center for Moscow’s Spartak. During the 2024/2025 season, the 34-year-old Loktionov participated in 76 games, including the KHL playoffs, accumulating 43 points (19 goals and 24 assists).
