Gazzaevs Sorrow: Alanias Drop to Second League Marks a Rich History in Jeopardy

The former head coach and president of Vladikavkaz’s “Alania,” **[Valery Gazzaev](https://www.example.com)**, has commented on the club’s relegation from the Melbet First League.

“I am deeply saddened by ‘Alania’s’ demotion to the Second League. The club has a rich history and should always compete in the top division. In the entire history of Russian football, only six clubs have been crowned champions, and ‘Alania’ is among them. The club has consistently produced talented young players. I hope the team can make a swift return,” Gazzaev’s words were quoted by Metaratings.

After 32 matches, “Alania” has accumulated 26 points, placing them 17th in the league standings. Spartak Gogniyev’s team has lost their mathematical opportunity to remain in the division.
