The press service of Manchester United has announced the departure of **Ruben Amorim** from his position as head coach of the first team. Amorim took charge at Manchester United in November 2024, having previously led Sporting Lisbon to a victory in the Portuguese championship.

As of today, the Red Devils are sitting in fifth place in the English Premier League table, having accumulated 31 points from 20 matches. They trail the league leaders, Arsenal, by 17 points.

In their next league match, Manchester United will face Burnley away from home. It has been reported that following Amorim’s departure, Darren Fletcher has taken over as interim head coach of the first team.
