According to the London Fire Brigade (LFB), six firefighters sustained injuries following a collision involving two fire engines in north London.

The crash occurred around 22:17 GMT on Saturday at the intersection of Farringdon Road and Clerkenwell Road.

Pat Goulbourne, assistant commissioner of the LFB, noted that both fire engines were en route to an incident in Islington that has since been handled.

He reported that six members of the crew received on-site treatment from the London Ambulance Service before being transported to the hospital for further evaluation. Both the brigade and the Metropolitan Police have launched an inquiry into the accident.
