Romanian Football Federation Responds to Dan Petrescus Cancer Diagnosis

The President of the Romanian Football Federation, **Gino Iorgulescu**, has spoken out regarding the news of cancer diagnosis for the former head coach of “Kuban” and Moscow “Dynamo,” **Dan Petrescu**.

“I’m not sure what to say; the situation is sensitive. May God assist Dan in his recovery, as there is treatment available. I’m not aware of the exact diagnosis, but I realize that it is very serious. He is undergoing chemotherapy. Such news affects me deeply—it sends chills down my spine,” Iorgulescu’s words were quoted by the Daily Mail.

During his coaching career, Dan has managed teams including Bucharest’s “Rapid,” Krakow’s “Wisla,” “Kuban,” “Dynamo,” “Al-Arabi,” “Cluj,” and South Korea’s “Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors.” In late December, Dan Petrescu celebrated his 58th birthday.
