Young Russian Goaltender Murat Shiyanov Announces Career Move to America

Goalkeeper of the Russian youth national team, **Murat Shiyanov**, has shared that he has received an offer to continue his career in the United States.

“After this season, I will be heading to the NAHL. I’ve received a proposal, and I’m very excited about moving there. I also want to continue my education and possibly make it to the NCAA later on. It’s my goal to get there.

A lot of people are coming to watch our games at the ‘Cup of the Future’, which is fantastic. Naturally, we’ve been training and preparing for it, and we are determined to win and showcase the best hockey,” Shiyanov told “Soviet Sport.”

As a reminder, the “Cup of the Future” kicked off on May 15 at the ‘Sibir Arena’ in Novosibirsk.
