Young Offenders Face Charges for Reckless Endangerment in Westfield Furniture Tossing Incident

Two teenagers, aged 14 and 16, from Hackney have been charged with criminal damage with the intent to endanger life after an event that occurred at Westfield shopping centre in March.

The boys were apprehended after witnesses reported that furniture was hurled from the upper level of the shopping centre in Stratford on March 1.

Due to their age, the identities of the two cannot be disclosed, and they are scheduled to appear in Stratford Youth Court on May 6.

Video footage that circulated online depicted an individual throwing a seat over a railing, narrowly missing several passersby as it fell two stories to the ground below.
