Two Russian Stars Shine in THNs Top 3 Undrafted NHL Players

Journalist Andre Leal featured a ranking of the top three current undrafted players in the NHL in an article on The Hockey News website.

The list includes two Russian players: goalie **Sergey Bobrovsky** of the Florida Panthers, and forward **Artemy Panarin** from the New York Rangers.

“Sergey Bobrovsky is arguably the best goaltender in the NHL at this moment. He has secured a second consecutive Stanley Cup with Florida. These two championships place Bobrovsky on the path to a potential Hall of Fame induction, especially since he has already won two Vezina Trophies in 2013 and 2017.”

“Panarin is one of the few players who has won the Calder Trophy without being drafted. In his rookie season, he scored 30 goals and accumulated 77 points, which included his first goal with the New York Rangers, the team he currently plays for. After two years in Chicago, he was traded to the Columbus Blue Jackets, where he spent another two seasons. Subsequently, he signed a lucrative seven-year deal with the Rangers,” Leal wrote in his article.

The list also includes **Logan Thompson**, the goalie for the Washington Capitals.
