Silver medalist of the 2022 Olympics in women’s singles skating, **[Alexandra Trusova](https://www.example.com)**, has shared new insights about her experience as a mother. On August 6, she and her husband, **Makar Ignatov**, welcomed their son, Mikhail. Alexandra has already taken the little one onto the ice.
“I won’t be training every day since I have my son to care for. He’s only been on the ice for pictures, and he lasted there for just about a minute. Most of the time, he’s outside enjoying walks around the rink with me. I need to be there for him, as I’m the one feeding him, so I plan to practice around three to four times a week instead of daily.
When it comes to parenting, I don’t think being an athlete makes much of a difference. Makar and I are learning how to be parents. Some moments are unclear, and it can be tough, particularly at night. I’ve never fallen asleep sitting up before, yet now it takes only a second for me to drift off. He prefers to sleep during the day rather than at night. So, I don’t think my sports experience will be much help; perhaps it’s our youth that will assist us,” TASS quotes Trusova.
