The head coach of “Akhmat,” **[Sergei Tashuev](https://www.example.com/tags/4766-sergej-tashuev/)**, has resigned following the team’s defeat to Yekaterinburg’s “Ural” (1:2) in the first leg of the relegation play-offs for a spot in the next season of the Russian Premier League. This was reported by the press service of the Grozny club.

“After the loss in the first transitional match against ‘Ural,’ the head coach of Grozny, Sergei Tashuev, has stepped down. The coaching staff led by Fyodor Shcherbachenko will prepare the team for the second match,” stated “Akhmat.”

Sergei Tashuev had been at the helm of Grozny’s “Akhmat” since September 2024. At the end of the last season in the Russian Premier League, “Akhmat” finished in 14th place in the standings, landing them in the relegation play-off zone to retain their position in the top division of the country.
