Smolov Stands by Spertsyán Amid Racism Allegations

Former striker of “Krasnodar” **Fedor Smolov** expressed his support for the team’s captain and midfielder **Eduard Spertsyan**, who was previously accused by “Akhmat” defender **Usman Ndong** of making racist remarks towards him.

“I have no doubt about Edo’s words,” Smolov posted on his **Telegram channel**, attaching a video of the statement made by the captain of “Krasnodar”.

During the 85th minute of the 11th round RPL match between “Krasnodar” and “Akhmat” (2:0), Ndong was sent off for a shoulder charge against Spertsyan. After the match, the defender claimed that Spertsyan insulted him with racial undertones. In response, the “Krasnodar” player emphasized that he did not use such expressions towards his opponent and noted that Ndong insulted his mother. On Sunday, October 5th, Spertsyan recorded a message in which he once again denied the accusations of racism.
