Brooklyn Nets guard D’Angelo Russell expressed his belief that Denver Nuggets center Nikola Jokić deserves five MVP awards. Currently, Jokić holds three Most Valuable Player titles from the NBA regular season (2021, 2022, 2024). In 2023, the award was given to Philadelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid.
“I believe Jokić should win the MVP award. He should rightfully have five at this point. That’s my opinion. You just can’t overlook him,” Russell stated on The Backyard Podcast w/ D’Angelo Russell on YouTube.
