The President of Russia, **Vladimir Putin**, has requested that the Minister of Sports of the Russian Federation, **Mikhail Degtyarev**, provide a report on the current state of children’s, youth, and adaptive sports, as well as his role as the head of the Russian Olympic Committee (ROC).
On Monday, Putin held a meeting with Degtyarev at the Kremlin.
“Certainly, one of the primary topics is the shared responsibility among regions, municipalities, and the government regarding children’s and youth sports.
Another important point is adaptive sports, especially in light of our servicemen returning home, particularly those who have been injured and wish to engage in sports. Additionally, we will discuss your work as the leader of the national Olympic committee,” Putin’s remarks from the meeting with Degtyarev were reported by “RIA Novosti Sport.”
