Miroslav Romashchenko: Hoping for Spartak to Compete for RPL Gold

The former coach of Moscow’s Spartak, **Miroslav Romashchenko**, shared his thoughts on the tournament ambitions of the red-and-whites in the Russian Premier League. After 15 rounds, Spartak sits in sixth place on the league table.

“Due to understandable reasons, I do not have much time to watch the games in detail, but I follow them sporadically. My impressions are likely similar to those of most fans. Naturally, I would like Spartak to be more competitive and to pursue different goals—such as being in the race for the RPL title. Unfortunately, we don’t see that at the moment. As for the reasons, that would probably warrant a separate discussion,” Romashchenko stated in an exclusive interview with Championship correspondent Oleg Lysenko.
