Men Plead Not Guilty to Violent Robbery at Heathrow as Over 20 Victims Treated for CS Spray Exposure

Three men have pleaded not guilty to allegations of attacking women with CS spray during a robbery at Heathrow Airport, an incident that required medical attention for over 20 individuals.

Tyrone Richards, 31, Anton Clarke-Butcher, 24, and Omoneke Whyte, 30, are accused of stealing two suitcases from two different women and deploying the harmful spray against both victims, as stated by Isleworth Crown Court.

Each faces two charges of robbery, two charges of administering a toxic substance, and one count of affray stemming from the event that occurred on December 7, 2025. They have denied all allegations.

Emergency medical teams attended to 21 individuals, including a toddler aged three, who were affected by the spray in a multi-storey parking facility at Terminal 3.

CS spray is an artificially produced chemical utilized by UK law enforcement to temporarily incapacitate individuals, akin to pepper spray.

The event caused delays in train services and temporarily closed the Central Terminal Area tunnel along with the Terminal 3 car park.

Five individuals were hospitalized but were subsequently released.

Richards, who does not have a permanent address, Clarke-Butcher from Mantlet Close, Streatham, and Whyte from Wydeville Manor Road, Lewisham, are scheduled to face trial at the same court on June 29.
