Medvedev Promises Strategic Changes After SKAs Performance in the 2024/2025 Season

Chairman of the Board of Directors of SKA, Aleksandr Medvedev, remarked at the event marking the conclusion of the army club’s season that evaluations will be made regarding the St. Petersburg team’s performance in the 2024/2025 season.

“Of course, we would have preferred to end the season later and on a higher note. However, without losses, there can be no victories. We will take lessons from this. We will fight in every match, and instead of finishing in seventh place during the regular season, we aim to go much further. And where will we go? To the Gagarin Cup! Let’s go!” – Medvedev was quoted by “Sport Day by Day.”

In the final standings of the regular championship, SKA finished seventh in the Western Conference of the Continental Hockey League. In the first round of the Gagarin Cup, SKA was defeated by Dynamo Moscow (2-4 in the series).
