Manchester City has officially announced the signing of 33-year-old goalkeeper **Marcus Bettinelli** from Chelsea. The English shot-stopper has agreed to a one-year contract with the club and will join the Citizens to compete in the Club World Cup.
“It is a tremendous honor for me to sign with Manchester City. I have admired what this club has achieved since Pep Guardiola took over, and now I am thrilled to be a part of continuing that success.
I hope to contribute during training sessions, in the locker room, and on the pitch, and I look forward to winning as many trophies as we can in the upcoming season,” said Bettinelli.
Bettinelli has been with Chelsea since the summer of 2021, during which time he made just one appearance. According to data from Transfermarkt, the market value of the 33-year-old player is estimated at €600,000.
