A man has been accused of murder following the fatal stabbing of a 40-year-old individual in a flat located in north-west London, according to the Metropolitan Police.

Authorities responded to the residence at Tollgate House, Tollgate Gardens, Maida Vale around 21:40 GMT on Friday evening.

Emergency services provided treatment for the victim’s stab injuries at the scene; however, he ultimately succumbed to his wounds in the hospital. Police have indicated that the victim’s family is receiving assistance from specialized officers.

Leon Douglas, aged 45, from Watford Way in Hendon, was taken into custody on Tuesday on murder suspicion and was formally charged with the crime the following day. He is currently being held and is set to appear before Willesden Magistrates’ Court on Saturday.
